Artificial Intelligence (AI) is the future of social media, and you’re going to want it! All social media platforms run on AI because of the huge amount of data. Without AI you would not see feeds relevant to you, or get notified of various events and more. But, despite all social media platforms running on AI, many people do not realise that they can harness AI to do their own social media as well.

Without AI, social media is a full time job. But now AI can be used for social media in many ways that save you so much time and actually get better results. This blog will explore some of the ways it can be used to harness even stronger results.

Understanding your target audience

If you are lacking customers, it could be that your targeting is not quite right. You can use AI to identify and understand your perfect customers. AI can study who your customers are, what they do, and how they spend their time. It will identify the right keywords to use in your posts so that you’re targeting the right people with content that speaks to them.

Social media offers a wealth of data on people and AI can quickly sift through that data and segment who your ideal customers are. On top of that it can then drill down into so many details about them using social media data like twitter or linkedin or instagram. You can understand the segment characteristics and what they are like, as well as what they do, what types of language appeals to them, what media they read, what television or movies they consume, where they shop, and even what kind of behavioural drivers they have as well as who their influencers are and a whole lot more.

AI has become very good at generating content. This can be done for you to save time and to avoid some of the repetitive work. AI can be used to generate short social media posts right through to long form copy like this. Would you be surprised to know that this blog was written by AI? Well, it was. In fact, at the moment, all blogs on this website have been written by AI. Hey – we are busy too and if AI can speed things up – great! And guess what? There are several AI tools that analyze your topic and social channels and they can advise you for that topic which colours, images, and even elements of images will get you more engagement with your ideal target audience. AI can analyze our history and identify what days and times you get better engagement. In fact, if AI schedules your posts both your reach and engagement will grow exponentially. My main channel social media reach was very low – a few hundred views per post. I started using AI to write and schedule and my reach is gone up dramatically. Last week my top post was 19,900. That is after using it for a few months but even after a week of use i jumped from a few hundred to a few thousand and it has steadily gone up since then. I have not used on instagram yet as I don’t really use that channel much but it links to all channels. If you use AI to schedule your posts for when your ideal people are online and engaged, then you can really increase the reach of your social media content and AI can figure that out for you automatically. This will help with staying engaged and building up that following on those channels!

This includes monitoring all of the platforms that have been created over the years – Facebook, Twitter, Instagram etc. In fact, AI can also be used to monitor your social media and respond in real time. This is where AI really starts to differentiate itself from humans. The difference between a live chat with an employee, as well as monitoring other brands’ social media pages or being present on the different platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and more at any given time is that you will have a huge pool of data which means you can see patterns emerge much faster than any human could ever hope to do so.
